About Us

 

My name is Bianca King & I am the proud owner of this company. This small, family owned business was established in 2010 because the need for a quality transportation service that could cater to  working parents, such as I, was difficult to find. Sometimes the big bus company couldn’t provide front door service for my son, and there were times were my job made it difficult to get them from school in a timely manner. If this also sounds like your issue….well that's where Mommy's Transportation comes in with the help you need!!

 

The aim of this service is to help out parents/guardians who need assistance with transporting their loves ones. This isn’t just limited to school however. We also collect passengers for doctor appointments, daycare, grocery store runs and any other errands that we may be of service for!

 

 

 All drivers are licensed & have completed a thorough background check. Additionally, they are all parents themselves who understand how important it is to have someone who cares for & about children providing the best service for them.

PARENTAL POLICIES

Reminder for Pick-Ups

Please remind your child to be ready to go at the time Mommy’s transportation is scheduled to pick him/her up or to be at the designated pick-up location as soon as his/her class or activity is done. This will help us get all the kids to where they need to go in a timely manner. However, if a Mommy’s transportation van has not arrived for pick-up within 15 minutes, please call our office at (773) 563-7942 and we will advise you of the situation. If your child calls you instead of us, please call us before you run out to get him/her because we are most likely on our way there.

 

Reminder for Drop-Offs

Mommy’s Transportation offers its services based on the transportation needs of many children. Please be advised that it is not uncommon for your child to ride with other children. We may have several children that we must transport on one van, when this occurs we might run a little behind schedule when dropping your child off.

No Shows

For the safety of your child, courtesy of the driver, and timeliness of our routes, it is extremely important that you advise us if your child does not need a ride. We attempt to confirm your child’s absence as much as possible – by going to the classroom and asking the teacher, calling the school office, calling a parent at work, asking other kids on the van if they saw your child today, etc. This is very time consuming, it delays us from other pick-ups, and gives us gray hair worrying about your child!! Please call us first thing in the morning (i.e. not at the school as you drive away with your child). There will be a $10.00 service fee on your next bill if we do not receive a call to cancel a ride before the ride occurs.


Payment Policy

All transportation is prepaid to confirm your child’s schedule. Scheduling of rides and billing are done monthly, with some exception of every two weeks for the upcoming month’s transportation. Due to the large number of late payments, a late payment fee of $15.00 will be incurred if we have not received payment by the third day of the prepaid billing cycle. No cash payments are accepted, no payments are to be given to the drivers, they are to be paid through the website, Cash app, or if other arrangements have been made with the owner.
 

Cancellation Policy

There is a seven day in advance cancellation policy. If canceling within that time frame, you will receive credit on your account for the upcoming month. If canceling seven days or less prior to the pickup date, there will be no credit applied to your account for the upcoming month.


Second “Deliveries”

We want to make sure each child is dropped off safely. If your child is unable to be left at the specified drop-off location due to being locked out, an adult not being there upon arrival, unforeseen changes in your child's extracurricular activities, etc., Mommy’s Transportation will contact the parent to get an alternative drop off location. There will be, however, a $15.00 surcharge if the driver needs to wait for more than 15 minutes, take the child on another ride, or do a “second delivery.” Parents please have a back-up plan for these situations and discuss them with your child.

 

KIDS RULES

While on board Mommy’s Transportation vehicles, transportation rules must be followed at all times. Parents, please remind your children of the importance of these rules throughout the year. Mommy’s Transportation is transporting the most precious cargo of all – your child – and we want to ensure that every ride on Mommy’s Transportation vehicle is SAFE!

 

  1. Passengers must wear seat belts at all times.

  2. Passengers will remain seated while the van is moving. Passengers should not board or depart from the vehicle until the vehicle has come to a complete stop and the driver has opened the door.

  3. All passengers will obey the driver during pick up, transport, and delivery. The driver may assign seats, if necessary.

  4. No object throwing is allowed in or out of a Mommy’s Transportation vehicle.

  5. No hanging in or out of the windows while riding in Mommy’s Transportation vehicle.

  6. No passenger disturbance allowed while riding in Mommy’s Transportation vehicle. It is vital to everyone that the driver is able to concentrate while the vehicle is in motion.

  7. Passengers should not destroy van property or the property of other passengers.

  8. All passengers must be courteous; inappropriate language/behavior is not acceptable or tolerated.

  9. All passengers must dispose of their own food wrappers, cans, etc.

  10.  Mommy’s Transportation s not liable for any missing or damaged items left on a Mommy’s Transportation vehicle.
